Manchester City have completed the deadline day signing of highly rated Norwegian international Julie Blakstad.
The 20 year old joins the club for an undisclosed fee from Rosenborg.
She is a versatile midfield player who will wear the number 41 shirt and adds extra squad depth after Jill Scott joined Aston Villa earlier this week.
Blakstad has endured a fine start to her Rosenborg career and, after signing for the club in 2020, she has managed 17 goals in 35 appearances playing in a variety of positions.
She has a total of 11 caps for the Norwegian national team and has scored two goals so far. Julie is tipped to be one to watch at the Europan Championships this summer and is ready to test herself in England before the tournament.
She becomes City’s only signing of the January window before it closes tonight at 5pm.
